Mobility Researcher, Barcelona Institute of Regional and Metropolitan Studies (IERMB) — 2020-2022
Worked on a variety of applied research projects on urban mobility in close collaboration with local and metropolitan administrations. Particular areas of focus include cycling, e-scooters, and design and analysis of various mobility surveys.
PhD Researcher, University of Amsterdam — 2016–2020
Researching socio-spatial dynamics of cycling in Amsterdam as part of the Smart Cycling Futures (SCF) project, sponsored by the Dutch Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO). This project involved setting up living labs on urban cycling innovations in collaboration with local governments and private partners. Other tasks performed as a PhD researcher include organising conferences, giving guest lectures and supervising master theses. Postgraduate representative of the Transport Geography Research Group (2017–2019).
Faculty Member, Urban Cycling Institute, Amsterdam — 2016–present
Organised and participated in workshops, seminars and summers schools addressed at international students and professionals in order to share and exchange knowledge on cycling. Collaborated in creating a free MOOC (massive online open course) on Dutch cycling culture.
Assistant Transport Planner, JMP Consultants, London — 2015–2016
(Currently Systra UK) Responsibilities included writing transport assessments, reports, and tender proposals, as well as traffic data analysis and modelling, for a wide range of public and private sector clients.
